Volunteer

Our view is that parents have the primary responsibility and privilege to educate their children requires and encourages strong parental involvement. This involvement is vital to the success of any student’s education, and also the success of any charter school. Every family is encouraged to volunteer at least 4 hours per month, or 30 hours per year to help the school. Volunteer hours can include help from any family member, not only parents.

Library

Help the Library help the homeless!  Come learn how to make plastic yarn using plastic grocery bags.  Then the yarn is crocheted into a sleeping mat for the homeless.  Mrs. McCoy will be happy to teach you how to do it.  Scholars are welcome to come to the library to help with this service project.

Grant Writing Help Needed

If you have thought about helping with the Grant Writing process, you are welcome to join us Thursday mornings from 8:10-9:30 for a work session. We talk about projects, research grantors and work on various steps of the process. Anyone is welcome to come help! Bring a laptop if you can.

Wish List

Did you know Paradigm has a wish list?  These are items that our wonderful mentors wish for, but are not necessarily part of the budget. Remember, donations are tax deductible and you can receive volunteer hours as well! THIS WEEK’S WISH LIST ITEMS:  Ms. Bowe is looking for any donations of art supplies such as good quality markers, paints, canvases, colored pencils and more. If you have anything you can donate, we will put it to good use!

Please refer to our Policy Handbook for more information regarding Background Checks.

  • I love Paradigm. My children have never been happier, and have found a love of learning that was missing in their previous education!

I went to Paradigm all through high school. Best experience ever. Not only did it help me focus on my strengths, but it also prepared me for college with its challenging curriculum that makes you think outside the box. The mentors there care about each of their students individually, and want nothing more than the students’ success.
